Damian Lillard believes Hassan Whiteside made the difference for the Portland Trail Blazers in the victory over the Los Angeles Lakers.
The superstar of the Blazers said the team would not have won Game 1 without Whiteside on the floor.
“This series is big as far as Suge (Whiteside) being on the floor. He blocked shots, he changed shots, he rebounded. He had a positive impact on the game and without him tonight, we don’t win this game,” Lillard told reporters.
Whiteside had seven points, eight rebounds and five blocks in 26 minutes of action, with Portland earning the 100-93 victory.
Game 2 will take place on Thursday.
