According to Marc Berman of the New York Post, the name of New York Knicks CEO Scott Perry has been “cast” as a candidate for the Sacramento Kings open GM job.

Marc J. Spears of The Undefeated also said he “wouldn’t be surprised” if the Kings contacted the Knicks to talk to Perry as well.

Kings general manager Vlade Divac resigned on Friday, according to Sam Amick of The Athletic. Former Detroit Pistons basketball operations president Joe Dumars, who worked for the Kings in an advisory role, has entered his post as interim executive vice president of basketball operations.

Dumars has also taken over as CEO for now and will help find the team’s new GM.

Perry served as the Kings’ vice president of basketball operations for three months in 2017 before the Knicks soon signed him as their team’s GM under president Steve Mills.

According to Berman, the Kings may also have an interest in Bill Duffy, who serves as Knicks guard RJ Barrett’s agent.
