Derrick Jones Jr. was forced to leave the court on a stretcher after a headfirst collision coming around a pick.

The forward of the Miami Heat suffered the injury late in the third quarter of the game against the Indiana Pacers.

Jones Jr. ran headlong into Goga Bitadze while chasing Doug McDermott on the right wing. He immediately hit the ground and remained there for several minutes.

It remains to be seen how serious his injury is, with the start of the playoffs just three days away (August 17).

Miami will face Indiana in the first round of the playoffs.
