Disney began casting about Giannis Antetokounmpo in the movie ‘Greek Freak’. The producing company is going to select two actors to play the reigning MVP at 13-15 years old and 15-18 years old.
The movie will be about Giannis’ journey from growing up as an undocumented immigrant in Greece to becoming one of the best players in the NBA.
According to Cast It Talent, no previous experience is needed to get selected for the two roles. The Greek Freak could win his second consecutive MVP award this season.
The reigning MVP came a long way, since being selected as the 15th pick in the 2013 NBA Draft. Giannis has made four All-Star teams, won the 2017 Most Improved Player of the Year Award and the 2019 MVP Award.
