Valencia Basket brings on Buycks

In preparation for its Turkish Airlines Euroleague return, Eurocup champ Valencia Basket Club added a new face to its backcourt by signing point guard Dwight Buycks to a one-year deal. Buycks (1.91 meters, 25 years old) will make his Euroleague debut with Valencia after having spent last season split between Toronto of the NBA and Bakersfield of the NBA D-League. Buycks played 14 games with Toronto, averaging 10.4 minutes and 3.1 points. Previously, he had split the 2011-12 season between Tulsa of the D-League and Oostende of Belgium. His only full pro season was 2012-13 with BCM Gravelines of France, for whom he averaged 18.2 points, 3.2 rebounds and 2.9 assists over 32 games. Before turning pro, Buycks played at Indian Hills Community College and Marquette University.
