Official: Maccabi brings back Pargo for two years

Euroleague champions Maccabi Tel Aviv have officially announced the signing Jeremy Pargo, who spent the last season in CSKA Moscow, on a two year contract.

Pargo has previously played for Maccabi in 2010-2011 season. To the disappointment of the Yellows’ fans he took the decision to leave Tel Aviv and try to establish himself in the NBA before being brought to Europe back by CSKA Moscow.

“We are very excited about the return of Jeremy to Maccabi. This connection was excellent in the past and has yielded great results and achievements in 2011. Pargo will bring athleticism, attractiveness, ability to customize, game management, leadership and lots of energy. He is hungry to play and lead, and want to again demonstrate the high capabilities. Good luck to us all”, Maccabi’s head coach Guy Goodes told to the club’s website.

It’s rumoured that Guy Goodes, David Blatt’s successor, was the man behind the acquisition of Pargo.

Despite being one the hottest names in summer 2013 before returning to Europe, Pargo didn’t have a very successful personal season. He averaged 5 points and 1.4 assists over 27 Euroleague games for CSKA Moscow.
