New Orleans Pelicans are considered postseason longshots, after the loss against the Sacramento Kings.

Zion Williamson commented on the latest poor run of form for the Pelicans and how he and his teammates need to take one game at the time in order to return to their winning ways.

“I play every game to win,” Williamson said, via Joe Vardon of The Athletic. “I can’t really speak personally for my teammates, I feel like they do play every game to win.”

“The sense of urgency, personally I think we don’t want to play like that. You just want to play the game to win anyway. I feel like when you play with a sense of urgency, you just start doing stuff that you don’t usually do.”

After three losses in the first 4 games, the Pelicans have to “climb” over four teams to make it to the postseason.

Alvin Gentry’s team is tied with the Kings in the West, 2.5 games behind the 8th-seeded Memphis Grizzlies and two games behind the ninth-seeded Portland Trail Blazers.

Furthermore, the San Antonio Spurs and the Phoenix Suns are also ahead of the Pelicans in the 11th and 10th place, respectively.
