Another European signs on the dotted line for an NBA club in today’s lead for the gossip column.

BOGDANOVIC JOINS BROOKLYN

Bojan Bogdanovic has signed a multi-year contract with the Brooklyn Nets, the team website announced.

Bogdanovic was elected with the 31st overall pick in the 2011 NBA Draft by the Miami Heat, his rights were traded by Miami to Minnesota, and then by the Timberwolves to the Nets. He spent three seasons with Fenerbahce, averaging 14.8 points in the Euroleague.

CROATIA TO BID FOR EUROBASKET?

Croatian media have reported that the Croatian government could put in a bid to host Eurobasket 2015.

Croatian Basketball Fedaration estimates that the cost of organising Eurobasket will be around 66,145 000 Kunas (€9million).

Government did agree to support Eurobasket with by contributing 40,879 000 Kunas (€5.5million).

TYUS WON’T JOIN UP WITH ISRAEL SQUAD

Maccabi Electra’s Alex Tyus has informed Israel that he won’t be joining the team this summer as they prepare for the Eurobasket Qualifiers.

It has been rumoured that Tyus could face sanctions from the Israeli Basketball Federation as a result of not turning up to camp.

LISHCHUK REMAINS IN VALENCIA

Ukrainian Serhiy Lishchuk will stay with Liga Endesa side Valencia.

The forward has signed a one-year extension on his contract.
