The Dallas Mavericks clinched their playoff spot, after the Memphis Grizzlies’ second loss in a row. Dallas is going to participate in the playoffs for the first time since the 2015-16 season.

Memphis remained in the 8th seed with the Spurs and the Blazers being, respectively, 2.5 games behind the last playoff spot. The Mavericks return to the postseason, being 10 games ahead of the 9th place.

The Dallas Mavericks traded for Kristaps Porzingis last season, after selecting the reigning rookie of the year Luka Doncic in the 2018 NBA Draft.

The Euro superstars led the team to its first playoff birth in five years combining for an impressive 48.3 points per contest through the 2019-2020 season.

Dallas currently sits seventh in the Western Conference with 40-28. The Mavericks play the Phoenix Suns on Sunday night.
