Kendrick Perkins says LeBron James is MVP, not Giannis Antetokounmpo

Longtime college basketball and NBA player Jalen Rose takes on podcaster David Jacoby and ex-NBA champion Kendrick Perkins in a debate about the most deserving candidate for NBA MVP between the Los Angeles Lakers point forward LeBron James and the Milwaukee Bucks small forward Giannis Antetokounmpo:

In 60 games so far this season, James is averaging 25.7 points, 7.9 rebounds, 1.2 steals, 0.4 blocks and 10.6 assists per game, while shooting at 49.8 percent from the floor and 34.9 percent from deep.

Meanwhile, Antetokounmpo is averaging 29.6 points, 13.7 rebounds, 1.0 steal, 1.0 block and 5.8 assists per game, while shooting at 54.7 percent from the field and 30.6 percent from three in 57 games.

This season’s MVP will be determined based on games played up to when the league was suspended in March.
