The NBA season ended when Rudy Gobert tested positive for the coronavirus in a game against the Oklahoma City Thunder. When the seeding games get underway, OKC Thunder’s first game will be against the Utah Jazz.

The NBA’s postponement was something that everybody involved in the NBA didn’t like to see. While it was one of the darkest moments in NBA history, now the NBA is back and everything is water under the bridge now. Chirs Paul talked about the fact that the Thunder just so happen to face the Jazz in the restart.

According to Brandon Rahbar of the Daily Thunder, Paul said:

“It’s a hell of a coincidence that’s who our first game is against. Will we get out there and hug it out? No. [laughs].”

The Thunder are one of those teams in the middle of the pack in the West that want to win their games to get good positioning in the standings. OKC plays today against the Portland Trail Blazers. The first game that will count will be that Jazz game on August 1st.
