Steph Curry and Vince Carter have a special relationship dating back over 20 years.

Carter and Steph’s father, Dell Curry, were teammates from 1999 to 2002 on the Toronto Raptors.

Dell would take Steph and his younger brother Seth to practice with the Raptors, and the former draw no. Absolute 5 would play 1 on 1 with the future MVP NBA twice 11-year future.

But, the Vinsanity era is over, with Carter retiring after 22 seasons in the NBA.

On Friday, Curry sent a message to Carter in response to the latter, reflecting on his worthy career in the Hall of Fame.

Carter never played for the Warriors, but joined the organization for a short time before they exchanged him with the Raptors for Antawn Jamison on the night of the draw in 1998.

There’s no telling how Carter’s career could have gone if the Warriors had attacked him, but there’s a chance that if he stayed with the Warriors long enough, he could have been a teammate with pick number 7 in the NBA 2009 Project, Steph Curry.
