German champion FC Bayern Munich bolstered its attack by signing Dusko Savanovic, a former All-Euroleague forward. Savanovic (2.04 meters, 30 year old) arrives from Turkish side Anadolu Efes Istanbul, for whom he spent the past three seasons. He averaged 10.5 points and 3.7 rebounds in 23 Turkish Airlines Euroleague games last season and 9.9 points and 4.4 rebounds in the Turkish League. Savanovic was named to the 2010-11 All-Euroleague Second Team after a spectacular season with Power Electronics Valencia, which he carried within one win of the Final Four in what was his rookie Euroleague season. Savanovic led Valencia in scoring with 11.9 points per game and also averaged 4.6 rebounds over 21 Euroleague contests. He has also played for Cajasol in Spain, Unics Kazan in Russia and Borac Cacak and FMP in his native Serbia. Savanovic helped Unics reach the ULEB Cup semifinals and the Russian Cup final in 2007. He also made it to the ULEB Cup Final Eight in 2008 and won the Adriatic League title with FMP in 2006. Savanovic has also represented the Serbian national team at both the World and European Championships.
