Everybody is raving about Ben Simmons shooting threes again. Simmons has been shown in videos shooting threes more and more in practice. It has yet to be seen if this will translate to NBA games.

Simmons has shot six threes this season and made two. He has shown that he can make the shot in some form in a live game. The Sixers will greatly benefit from Simmons stepping outside and shooting the three ball. The move to point forward will help put himself in catch and shoot situations.

According to Jon Johnson of Sports Radio WIP Brett Brown said Ben Simmons deciding to shoot the three is an “internal decision that he has made”

The Sixers are getting maximum effort from Joel Embiid and now they are getting it from Ben Simmons. There have been trade rumors swirling around the Sixers for some time and if the core wants to stay together then there have to be results. Simmons and Embiid have showed progress.

According to ESPN Simmons said:

“With 3s, it’s never been like that. I’ve got to make it a point of emphasis. I could be one of those guys shooting 30% right now. But I’d rather be one of those guys shooting 40%”
