The NBA season has finally resumed today, with multiple team scrimmages being held in preparation for the upcoming restart on July 31st. The first scrimmage was held earlier today with the Orlando Magic coming up against the LA Clippers. The game ended with a nine-point victory, 99-90, for the Clippers. The Western Conference side were struggling in the first quarter, but pulled through in the second and showed their strength.

Superstars Kawhi Leonard and Paul George joined Reggie Jackson, Joakim Noah and Marcus Morris Sr. in the starting lineup.

Paul George scored 18 points in 19 minutes and Lou Williams scored 22 off the bench.

Orlando had a tough time finding scorers, however, ever so reliable Vucevic continued his pre-lockdown performances. The sweet-shooting center scored 18 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in 21 minutes. Michael Carter-Williams was Orlando’s next highest scorer with 16 points and Terrence Ross also added 14.

Young centre Mo Bamba is still on a minutes restriction so only featured for his 6 allocated minutes against the LA side. Fultz and Isaac are still in doubt for Orlando as well, however Fultz is said to be ready for the next scrimmage.

The Clippers next face the Washington Wizards on the 25th of July.

The Magic will face the other LA side, the Lakers, on the 25th of July as well.
