For the Sixth Man Award, Perkins picked Oklahoma City Thunder point guard Dennis Schroder. The 26-year-old German is averaging 19 points, 3.7 rebounds and 4.1 assists per game.

Perkins voted for Anthony Davis as the Defensive Player of the Year. He has already prepared an early DPOY present for the Los Angeles Lakers superstar. Davis is averaging 26.7 points, 9.4 rebounds, 3.1 assists, 2.4 block and 1.4 steals per game.

According to Perkins, Bam Adebayo is the Most Improved Player. The Miami Heat power forward is averaging 16.2 points, 10.5 rebounds and 5.1 assists per game. It is a significant increase compared to the 2018-2019 season when he averaged 8.9 points, 7.3 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game.

For the Coach of the Year, Perkins voted for Nick Nurse, head coach of the Toronto Raptors. Nurse led the Raptors to the second place in the Eastern Conference despite losing superstar Kawhi Leonard last summer to the Los Angeles Clippers.
