Tyler Johnson is finally a Net

Tyler Johnson is finally a member of the Brooklyn Nets. The injury-plagued Nets signed him as a replacement ahead of the season’s restart.

Four years ago, Johnson nearly became a Net. He signed a four-year, $50 million offer sheet with them, but the Heat matched that offer and he remained in Miami.

After having some success with Miami, Johnson was traded to the Phoenix Suns during the 2018-19 season. He struggled with Phoenix, shooting just 30.2 percent from three and 37.5 percent overall. He shot 36.7 percent from three and 43.7 percent overall with Miami.

The Suns released Johnson earlier this season.

Due to the Nets lack of depth, he should play an important role with the team as they try to make the playoffs. Johnson will try to get his career back on track with the team he almost joined four years ago.
