Houston Rockets superstar James Harden has reportedly opened up on the reason he was late to join his teammates in the NBA’s Orlando bubble.

Harden only arrived in Orlando on Tuesday night but, unlike Russell Westbrook, who tested positive for COVID-19, he was apparently held back by “family issues”. That is according to USA Today‘s Ben DuBose.

Rockets head coach Mike D’Antoni raved about Harden’s first practice, with claims the guard was only rusty for around 30 seconds.

“I didn’t see any difference whatsoever,” he was quoted as saying. “Right now, he’s full-tilt. He looks ready to go. You forget how strong he is, he’s one of the strongest players in the league. He’s able to guide himself.”

James Harden got fans talking on social media after appearing to lose a significant amount of weight during the lockdown period and he’s divulged a bit of his workout regimen.

“For me, basketball is natural,” the player noted. “I feel comfortable no matter what, even if I take a month or two off. The biggest thing for me is conditioning. It was mostly running, weight lifting, I did a little bit of yoga for flexibility.”
