The New York Knicks continue the process of finding a new head coach. Recently, Jason Kidd, who currently serves as an assistant coach for the Los Angeles Lakers, had been interviewed by the Knicks. He left a great impression, but Tom Thibodeau still remains the favorite to get the job.

Per Marc Berman of New York Post:

“While sources says Jason Kidd wowed Knicks brass with “a great interview,” it might not be enough to topple Thibodeau, whose relationship with Knicks president Leon Rose and senior vice president William Wesley should prove insurmountable.”

Kidd, 47, has previously worked as a head coach of the Brooklyn Nets and Milwaukee Bucks. He played an important role in the development of reigning NBA MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo.

He spent nineteen seasons in the NBA as a player. In 2011, Kidd won his only championship with the Dallas Mavericks.
