The Brooklyn Nets are close to a deal with ex-New York Knick forward Lance Thomas, according to Ian Begley of SNY.
The 32-year-old was with the Nets during training camp on a non-guaranteed contract, but was waived before the beginning of the season.
Thomas hasn’t played in the NBA this season, but has eight years of experience with the New Orleans Hornets/Pelicans, Oklahoma City Thunder and Knicks.
In 392 career games, Thomas has averaged 5.2 points and 2.6 rebounds per game.
If Thomas reaches a deal with the Nets, he will join Jamal Crawford, Michael Beasley and Donta Hall as newly-signed players for the season restart.
