Andre Roberson has not played for the Oklahoma City Thunder since the 2017-18 season. He suffered a gruesome injury, rupturing the patellar tendon in his knee in a game against the Detroit Pistons.

Roberson has suffered multiple setbacks since his initial injury, but appears to be on track to return when the season resumes. He was a full participant in Oklahoma City’s practice today.

Roberson had developed into one of the NBA’s best defenders when he was injured. He was also coming off of a strong postseason performance in 2017. He averaged 2.4 steals and 3.4 blocks per game.

His return should give the Thunder some momentum heading into the postseason. Roberson could end up guarding some of the league’s top players, including James Harden, LeBron James, or Kawhi Leonard, depending on who Oklahoma City plays in the postseason.
