Joel Embiid is the vocal leader of the Philadelphia 76ers, being one of the best centers in NBA. The Sixers’ big man shared his thoughts on his pairing with Al Horford talking on the way they can fit in the same system.

“I think it’s just a matter of everybody buying in and being able to play their role. I mean, the pairing with Al I feel like has been fine,” Embiid said in a conference call with reporters Tuesday, per ESPN’s Tim Bontemps.

“At times it could be better, but then again, everybody on the court has a job, and with that type of pairing you have to have shooters around. You need to have people or guys being, like, wanting to take that shot.

Especially when you got two inside presence like me and Al. He can post up, I can post up, and then around you’ve got to be able to have guys that are willing to shoot and that are going to shoot the ball. I think that’s what needs to happen but I don’t think that’s a problem.”

The fit between Embiid and Al Horford is at least questionable, especially when Ben Simmons is on the floor, as the five-man lineup consists of three players, who can make the difference inside the paint.

As Philadelphia’s head coach Brett Brown admitted, Horford will not going to start, when the NBA resumes play, with Shake Milton entering the starting line-up.
