Galatasaray look set to sign Italian international Pietro Aradori, Lithuanian Martynas Pocius and Kerem Gonlum with all three currently undergoing physicals in Istanbul.

It is understood that Pocius, who led Zalgiris Kaunas to their fourth straight Lithuanian league crown and 16th overall last season passed his physical last night and could be announced by Galatasaray later on today.

Aradori has confirmed to La Gazzetta dello Sport that he will sign a deal with Galatasaray on a 1-year deal with the option of a second, according to sources.

“We are finalizing the contract,” Aradori said. “I have the chance to play for a great club, in a great city as Istanbul.

“I wanted to play abroad and I was looking for the right proposal.”

Gonlum, who spent nine years with Anadolu Efes and a world championship runner-up with Turkey in 2010, is rumoured to be signing a 2-year deal with Galatasaray and, like Pocius, could be announced later on today.

Galatasaray exceeded expectations and reached the quarter-finals of the Euroleague last season, where they were swept by Barcelona.

They lost in the domestic TBL Finals to Fenerbahce after claiming that the match officials were on the side of their bitter rivals and thus refused to show up for the deciding Game 7 at the Ulker Arena.

The Istanbul side have been drawn in Group D of this season’s Euroleague, where they will face Olympiacos, Valencia, Laboral Kutxa, Red Star Belgrade and newcomers Neptunas Klaipeda.
