Chris Broussard says LeBron James is Lakers’ best player, but AD is key for the Finals

Los Angeles Lakers small forward Jared Dudley thinks big man Anthony Davis is “the most critical part of” the Lakers’ quest for a championship:

“AD definitely has another gear. I think AD for the first time in his career since maybe Kentucky where any given night he doesn’t have to be the main scorer. I think he’s so efficient and so unselfish that sometimes he tends to be too passive. We need him to be more aggressive.

We’re going to need him to be physical. We’re going to need him to be dominant. Defensively, I don’t have any worry. Offensively, it’s not a worry. I just want him to be aggressive.

AD is going to be the most critical part of us on our quest for a championship in the bubble,” Dudley said, via ClutchPoints.

In 60 games so far this season, James is averaging 25.7 points, 7.9 rebounds, 1.2 steals, 0.4 blocks and 10.6 assists per game, while shooting at 49.8 percent from the floor and 34.9 percent from deep.

Meanwhile, Davis is averaging 26.7 points, 9.4 rebounds, 1.5 steals, 2.4 blocks and 3.1 assists per game, while shooting at 51.1 percent from the field and 33.5 percent from three in 55 games.
