Kevin Durant announced that he would be leaving the Oklahoma City Thunder to sign with the Golden State Warriors exactly four years ago.

The move was widely criticized as Durant had previously said he wanted to stay with the Thunder. The Warriors were coming off of a 73-9 season and had eliminated Durant’s Thunder in seven games in the Western Conference Finals.

As expected, the Warriors won back-to-back championships in Durant’s first two seasons with his new team, after he had repeatedly fallen just short with Oklahoma City. Last season Golden State missed out on a third consecutive title after he tore his Achilles and Klay Thompson tore his ACL.
