The NBA and NBPA have reached an agreement on social justice messages that players can use on the back of their jerseys.
Players were made aware of the list of messages via email and those messages can be displayed above the numbers on the back of jerseys during the first four days of the restart, according to Marc J. Spears of The Undefeated.
After those first four nights, players can still have their message on the jersey, but their last name will be underneath.
Players can reportedly have a first and second choice, but they don’t have to use the space for a social justice message if they don’t want to.
The list of approved messages include the following:

- Say Their Names
- Vote
- I Can’t Breathe
- Justice
- Peace
- Equality
- Freedom
- Enough
- Power to the People
- Justice Now
- Say Her Name
- Sí Se Puede (Yes We Can)
- Liberation
- See Us
- Hear Us
- Respect Us
- Love Us
- Listen
- Listen to Us
- Stand Up
- Ally
- Anti-Racist
- I Am A Man
- Speak Up
- How Many More
- Group Economics
- Education Reform
- Mentor
Earlier this week, players opted not to use the names of those who died in police custody or in racially-motivated attacks out of respect for the families.
