Kings’ assistant Igor Kokoskov to become next coach of Fenerbahce

Sacramento Kings assistant coach Igor Kokoskov has agreed to become the next head coach of Fenerbahce in Istanbul, according to Adrian Wojnarowski.

Kokoskov will replace the legendary Zeljko Obradovic, who mutually parted ways with Fenerbahce after coaching the club for seven years.

It will reportedly be a three-year guaranteed deal for Kokoskov.

The 48-year-old was Luke Walton’s top assistant with the Kings this season and will finish the season with the team in Orlando, per Jason Jones of The Athletic.

Kokoskov previously coached Slovenia to a EuroBasket 2017 title that was led by Goran Dragic and Luka Doncic.

He was named the head coach of Serbia last November.
