After playing in four straight NBA Finals, the Golden State Warriors became the worst team in the NBA this season. The Dubs lost Kevin Durant who joined the Brooklyn Nets last season, Klay Thompson went down with a season-ending injury, then Steph Curry got injured as well.

According to NBA legend Charles Barkley, the Dubs will still be a good team next season just because of Thompson and Curry. They will also have Draymond Green and are expected to get the number one pick in the 2020 NBA Draft.

But, it will difficult for Golden State to be title contenders, as other teams, such as the Lakers, Clippers and Nuggets will still be there, says Barkley.

“They are not going to be the same team they used to be because other teams have gotten a lot better. I mean, listen, the Lakers and the Clippers are not going anywhere, the Nuggets got a good solid team. The Lakers and the Clippers are the two teams to beat, not just this year but going forward,” Barkley said on a conference call as reported by Josh Schrock of NBC Sports.

“As far as the Warriors, man they are going to be competitive because of Klay and Steph. Draymond is a good little player. But the rest of the stuff is out. The rest of the jewellery is out on the rest of that team,” Sir Charles concluded.
