NBA to paint “Black Lives Matter” on courts in Orlando

The NBA is planning to paint “Black Lives Matter” on the court inside both sidelines in all three arenas it will use at Disney in Orlando.

The NBA recently announced that the goal of the season restart will be to find tangible and sustainable ways to address racial inequality across the country.

Chris Paul, president of the players’ union, also recently stated that the league and union were discussing allowing players to wear personalized jerseys with messages linked to social justice on the back in place of names.

“We’re just trying to continue to shed light on the different social justice issues that guys around our league continue to talk about day in and day out,” Paul said. “People are saying that social justice will be off of everybody’s mind in Orlando. With these jerseys, it doesn’t go away.”
