Free agent Ryan Broekhoff is signing with the Philadelphia 76ers, agent Andy Shiffman of Priority Sports told Adrian Wojnarowski.

Broekhoff played 17 games for the Dallas Mavericks this season before being waived in February to make room for the team to sign Michael Kidd-Gilchrist.

Despite only playing in 59 NBA games in two seasons, Broekhoff is a career 40.3 percent three-point shooter, something that the 76ers have needed.

The 76ers currently have 15 players on standard contracts and one two-way player, so they could choose to waive a player on the 15-man roster to make room for Broekhoff, or sign him as a substitute in case another player opts out of the NBA’s restart in Orlando.

They could also sign Broekhoff to a two-way deal if they didn’t want to waive someone.
