In 2017 Paul George was at the center of one of the big-name trades in the NBA. Then-Indiana Pacers star was traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder for Victor Oladipo and Domantas Sabonis. George revealed how the move happened on the Knuckleheads podcast with former NBA players Quentin Richardson and Darius Miles.

The current Los Angeles Clippers star revealed that he had the best power forward in the NBA wanting to come to Indiana. He told it to the Pacers staff but they were reluctant to make the move. Because of that, George concluded that the team didn’t want to win and asked his agent to find him another team.

“I ain’t gonna say the names because I’mma keep their business private. I’mma just say it like this. I had, at the time, the best power forward saying he wanted to come to Indy and team up with me. They [the Pacers] like “We are a small market. We can’t do it. We can’t afford that.” I’m like “The best power forward wants to come play here. Y’all can’t make that work?” So I’m like, now I’m pissed ’cause it’s like “What am I doing here?” They didn’t want to do it … I called my agent like, “Man, get me up outta here. They don’t want to win,”” George said.
