The Los Angeles Lakers is the ‘only team’ that would make sense for DeMarcus Cousins, according to a former executive.
Cousins could return to the Lakers ahead of the NBA restart in Orlando, Florida in late July.
Los Angeles signed Cousins last summer, yet the latter tore his ACL during a pick-up game in July in Las Vegas and never suited up for the Lakers. The team waived him on February 24, but allowed him to rehab at the practice facility.
“That’s the only team (the Lakers). He respects [LeBron James], and he’s [Anthony Davis’] boy. [Other teams] don’t want that distraction. There’s a small window of time to play, and you can’t let up,” the former executive said, via Eric Pincus of Bleacher Report.
