Once at a Love Ranch, Lamar Odom says he woke up “confused”. Doctors say he overdosed but Odom recalls never taking any drugs. While laying in his hospital bed, doctors told everyone to gather around Odom because his chances were slim to none at surviving. Odom says maybe “it just wasn’t his time” and that “God had different plans”.
Odom suffered 12 strokes and 6 heart attacks and couldn’t “talk, walk, or hold his bowels”. He says because he was a big, strong athlete, that this was “extremely humbling”. He says he couldn’t have gotten through the recovery process without his ex-wife, Khloe Kardashian or without “God waking him up”.
Lamar Odom is still going through recovery even to this day and thinks his survival was a sign from God to go out and “share his story” and to “speak his truth to help people”.
