We all have inspirations in life and Michael Jordan was no different. Jordan drew inspiration from R&B singer, Anita Baker. He used her music in Space Jam and also to get himself ready for a game. Former NBA forward Roshown McLeod says he remembers Jordan “singing her music to guys when he was playing”.
He says MJ’s favorite song was “Giving You The Best That I Got” and that he sang it to Jerry Stackhouse while putting up 48 points. Additionally, Before MJ hit “The Shot” over Craig Ehlo, he credited Anita Baker for getting him ready to play in the locker room. He says he blasted his favorite song, “Giving You The Best That I Got”, prior to the game.
