Michael Jordan did “The Move” against the Lakers in the NBA Finals on this date in 1991

Michael Jordan led the Chicago Bulls to a 107-86 victory at home over the Los Angeles Lakers in Game 2 of the NBA Finals. The victory tied the series at one game apiece.

Jordan did “The Move,” when he elevated to dunk the ball with his right hand but adjusted in midair to lay the ball in with his left hand.

He was unstoppable in the game. Jordan finished with 33 points, 13 assists, seven rebounds, two steals and a block. He went 15-18 on field goal attempts.

Scottie Pippen added 20 points and 10 assists for Chicago.

Magic Johnson finished with 14 points, 10 assists and seven rebounds for Los Angeles. James Worthy had 24 points.

This game was the first of four consecutive victories for the Bulls, as Jordan led them to their first title.
