Trae Young organized and spoke at a peaceful protest at Andrews Park in his hometown of Norman, Oklahoma.

While speaking to the crowd, Young mentioned that he isn’t used to doing this, as he isn’t very open about what he sees go on in this world.

“It’s not just going to take just me, it’s not just going to take just you—it’s all of us coming together and doing this as a collective unit,” Young said. “I feel like justice will be served and changes will be made if we all come together. This is us doing it. This is the first step.”

Here is a picture of Young at the protest with a sign that reads “God didn’t give us this breath for you to take it away!”

Young is the latest NBA player to peacefully protest the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
