Barcelona swingman Adam Hanga is more afraid of an injury than the virus

The EuroLeague won’t return this summer, as the league executives, along with the players association, decided to postpone the season.

Barcelona forward Adam Hanga admitted that he is afraid more of a potential serious injury than coronavirus itself, after two months of inability to play basketball.

“I’m more afraid of an injury. I’m 31 years old and I suffered injuries in the past. I know my body and after two months of confinement, it’s hard to compete at this level. It will be physically hard and that’s why players are more afraid of injury than infection. It’s not ideal to play like that but we have to accept it,” Hanga said in an interview for Barcelona’s website per Eurohoops.net.

The EuroLeague’s former DPOY hasn’t experienced any basketball activity since March 6, when the “Blaugrana” won against Estudiantes. Now Hanga and his teammates are preparing for the Final Tournament of the ACB, which will take place between June 17 and June 30.
