When Michael Jordan was the man, there were haters. Some NBA fans said they like Penny Hardaway better. The same is for LeBron James. While legendary players are on the floor in front of our eyes, it’s hard to appreciate what they have done.

Austin Rivers had a new approach to respecting legends from the eyes of the legend’s competition via Instagram Live with Richard Jefferson.

“l’m not enjoying LeBron’s greatness right now,” Rivers said. “I have no fun playing against him… The fact that I didn’t play against Michael, I get to enjoy his greatness.”

It’s hard to be in awe of a player that is dominating your team and it’s understandable the stance that Rivers takes. Maybe when it’s all over for LeBron, then he will be able to give it up to him.
