“Just being able to get that opportunity with the Lakers, and for them to be the first ones to call me, to give me that opportunity, it was an honour. I was blessed, happy, and excited with that opportunity that they gave me.”

“I had the Lakers the day before the draft I believe. So they were the last workout I had, the last people I got to see. I felt good. I felt that I had just as good of a workout than all my other workouts and had a lot of feedback from them. Once I got the call right after the draft I was excited. I was ready to go, I was ready to work. That’s literally what I did. Me and my trainer that night, we went straight to the gym after I found out I was with the Lakers. We worked out from like 2am to like 4am in the morning. I was just energetic.”

Even though he is yet to feature in an NBA game, Cacok has been impressing in the G League. Through 33 games (23.9 minutes per game), he is posting averages of 19.4 points, 11.9 rebounds, and 1.1 steals. On 65.9% shooting from the field.
