The Czech club has a new co-owner, the Israeli company True Player Group, which is half-owned by the family of David Blatt, as the club announced. The experienced coach invests in Czech basketball by deciding to buy and manage half the club. After his career working in the NBA and the Euroleague, coach Blatt writes a new chapter, this time as the co-owner of a basketball club.
The cooperation between the two sides was announced in a press conference by the general manager of Brno, Michal Jimramovský.
“Negotiations have been going on since last autumn and I am glad that they have now reached a successful end. Our common goal is to gradually make our club a good brand that will make our fans happy. We also want to bring Brno men’s basketball back to the top of the league.”
