Having a very successful season so far, Anadolu Efes was one of the teams that we expected to see in the Final Four. Unfortunately, the 2019/20 Euroleague season was canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic. Priority was given to the players’ health and safety since the resumption of the season might have brought injuries.
Of course, Anadolu Efes would have wanted to conclude the season but as they said “that was not possible”.
“Our biggest wish was to complete the 2019/20 Euroleague season by playing as scheduled, yet this was not possible. As we announced after the decision taken for ING Basketball Super League, human health trumps everything else for us. Our biggest wish is that the Covid-19 outbreak ends as quickly as possible worldwide.”
