The NBA today announced its collaboration with Girlguiding, the UK’s leading charity for girls and young women, to support ‘Girlguiding presents: Adventures at Home Festival,’ a free one-day online programme tomorrow, Saturday May 23rd

Festival participants will be led through a Jr. NBA at Home workout, hosted by WNBA Champion and Team GB forward Temitope Fagbenle, along with performance coach Natalie Higby of The Durable Athlete.  The workout will also feature information on the Her Time To Play (HTTP) initiative that is dedicated to championing change on behalf of girls and women and aims to help all females participate fully across all sectors, giving them a forum to connect, collaborate, and actively engage with basketball.

In addition, as part of the global NBA Together campaign, 10-year WNBA veteran Allison Feaster, who currently serves as the Director of Player Development with the Boston Celtics, will take part in a question and answer session and share insights from an impressive career competing at the highest level.

Jr. NBA at Home, an interactive content series providing basketball workouts and drills that can be completed individually and in limited space to help young players around the world stay active and develop their game in a safe and healthy way, is available on the OWQLO App, the official Jr. NBA League app in Europe and the Middle East, in the form a 30-day workout series.

The ‘Girlguiding presents: Adventures at Home Festival’ will also feature musical performances, sporting challenges, magic and comedy shows, storytelling, inspirational talks and more.  It will be streamed for free on the Girlguiding website www.girlguiding.org.uk/adventures-at-home-festival and via Girlguiding’s YouTube channel https://www.youtube.com/user/girlguiding
