Unics Kazan have signed Euroleague’s Alfonso Ford Scoring champion Keith Langford from EA7 Milano with Curtis Jerrells reportedly also close to signing for the Russian side.

While Jerrells status remains up in the air after he rejected a new offer presented to him by the Italian champions, Langford heads to Russia on a two-year deal, where Kazan are now preparing for the upcoming  Euroleague Qualifying Rounds.

Langford averaged 16.7 points and 2 assists in the Italian Serie A last season, leading them to their first domestic title since 1996 but most notably got 17.6 points a game in the Euroleague, leading them to a quarter-final place where they lost to eventual champions Maccabi Electra Tel Aviv.

It is rumoured that Langford’s team-mate in Milan last season, Jerrells is also close to accepting a deal to play for Unics next season as EA7 Milano and Jerrells have not agreed terms on a new contract.

The 27-year-old started 12 out of the 28 Euroleague games for Milano last season, but rejected a new deal as he wasn’t promised a more prominent starting role in the fashion capital.
