Fresh off an NBA championship, Manu Ginobili has taken to Twitter to announce that he will play at the FIBA World Cup of Basketball this summer.

Ginobili chose to announce his availability after the NBA season was finished in order to concentrate on the task at hand with the San Antonio Spurs.

The thrill of winning another NBA title has put the veteran guard on cloud nine and he would love to match the joy of winning an NBA crown by winning the World Cup with his country.

This World Cup though could be Ginobili’s final tournament for Argentina – as the Spurs guard – currently 36-years-old will have turned 37 by the time the World Cup begins on August 30.

Argentina are in Group B alongside Croatia, Greece, Puerto Rico, Senegal and Philippines. They will play their group games in Seville.
