Boston Celtics center Enes Kanter joined NBA insider Shams Charania to talk about many subjects, including an offer he received from WWE. The 27-year-old also remembered the Western Conference Finals against the Golden State Warriors back in 2016 when he was with the Oklahoma City Thunder and how he felt after Kevin Durant left.

OKC went to face the Dubs in Oracle Arena for Game 7. The Warriors prevailed, winning the game 96-88. According to him, the Thunder just didn’t have “it” then and it was very emotional afterwards. He truly believed Oklahoma City could have beaten the Cavs if they made it to the NBA Finals.

“I remember when we lost that game. I think everybody was crying in our locker room. Steven Adams was standing right next to me, he was crying. I remember I was crying,” Kanter said.

Though the next day he was more positive and convinced that next season OKC could win a championship. But to everyone’s surprise, the team’s superstar Kevin Durant left to join the Warriors. “After the game was over the next day I was ‘you know what, we had everything to go out there and win that championship, we are just gonna get back next year and try to do the same thing. So I was heartbroken when KD left and I’ve been shocked, we could have won a championship,” Kanter recalled the moment when Durant left the Thunder.
