Slaughter to extend contract with Real Madrid?

Forward Marcus Slaughter is reportedly in talks to stay at Euroleague finalists Real Madrid for another season.

Encestando.es has reported the news, following the Liga Endesa side’s loss in the Final to Maccabi Electra Tel Aviv.

Chris Fleming to part ways with Brose Baskets

Dominant German powerhouse Brose Baskets Bamberg are rumoured to be in the middle of releasing coach Chris Fleming from his contract.

TalkBasket learns that Fleming might be out of the hot seat as early as Tuesday following his side’s poor showing in both the Euroleague and Eurocup and their elimination from the Beko BBL Playoffs to Artland Dragons.

Blatt has not spoken to CSKA Moscow regarding a coaching job

The moment Maccabi Electra Tel Aviv won the Euroleague crown, Russian media present in Milan asked coach David Blatt if he CSKA Moscow had spoken to Blatt regarding a coaching position.

Though Ettore Messina hasn’t announced his future plans with CSKA Moscow, it is widely anticipated that he will leave in the summer.

“No, I have not heard from CSKA,” Blatt said. Plain and simple.

The Maccabi playcaller previously coached Russia, but stepped down after the Olympics in London.

Gortat to skip national team this year

Good news for Germany, Austria and Luxembourg; Marcin Gortat has decided to skip this international summer to concentrate on his off-season preparations with the Washington Wizards.

Poland will be competing in the Eurobasket 2015 Qualifying Round against the above mentioned sides.
