The Greek guard’s future with Panathinaikos OPAP is debatable and, as we have previously reported, Panathinaikos will decide on whether he’s staying for another year or not.
Calathes still has a year in his contract with Panathinaikos, but, according to Nikos Varlas of Eurohoops, the experienced guard is not likely to continue. In this case, Calathes, who has attracted many other Euroleague teams including CSKA and Zenit, will become a free agent this summer.
