Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James has had a squeaky clean relationship for all of his career. The three-time NBA champion and four-time MVP is a devoted family man whose name had never been associated with anything negative that’s not basketball related until very recently.
The veteran forward has been accused of cheating on his wife Savannah with a model who goes by the name Sofia Jamora on Instagram. The claims were made by Erza Haliti, the wife of Denver Broncos tight end Nick Vannett and a former friend who’s apparently had a falling out.
“Am I the only one that’s not a fan of LeBron?” Haliti wrote on her Instagram story. “I guess I’ve never been a fan of guys that cheat on their wives especially with @sofiajamora.”
Since the rumors began swirling, Sofia has been deleting courtside photos of herself at Lakers games and untagging herself from blogs sharing the story. She also got on Twitter over the weekend and posted what could be a reply to the accusation.
“People don’t recognize how much words can actually hurt,” she wrote in a tweet that now appears to be unavailable.
A number of her followers replied to the tweet with LeBron references.
