Could LeBron James come to play for the New York Knicks at some point in the future? That was the question one fan asked Marc Berman of the New York Post. To the fan’s presumed delight, the response was positive. Berman thinks such a possibility should not be ruled out and made the case for how it could happen.

According to him, the Los Angeles Lakers superstar could make such a move towards the end of his career. Though it would be a little bit further in the future. LeBron’s contract with the Lakers expires in 2022. At that point, James will be 37 and will have to decide on his future. With Madison Square Garden being LeBron’s favorite venue, the veteran could be tempted to leave his mark in New York as well.

“I will never rule this one out — especially for his last season before retiring.

“James has said the Garden is his favorite arena to play in. A lot depends not just on how his Lakers’ title journey pans out, but his son Bronny’s timetable.”

Another reason for the three-time champion to join the Knicks is his son Bronny, who could enter the NBA in 2024. If LeBron teams up with his son, it would be the first case of father and son playing together in the NBA.

“Bronny James, finishing his freshman year at Sierra Canyon High School, is 15 years old and not eligible for the NBA draft until 2024 under current guidelines.”

With the changes inside the Knicks’ management taking place, it should give the New York fans some home of landing the biggest name in today’s game. At some point in the future.
