Jorge Garbajosa, the president of the Spanish Basketball Federation, is optimistic that Sergio Scariolo will remain with the national team until 2024.
Garbajosa and the Federation are in talks with the head coach of Spain for a four-year contract extension.
“Regarding Scariolo, we are in talks with him, however we should take into account that he works for the Toronto Raptors, too (as an assistant). I am optimistic, though,” Garbajosa told fans on Twitter.
